76ers get much-needed rest during lengthy road trip

The 76ers have been worn out these last several weeks. Alongside being short-handed, they have been given a brutal stretch of back-to-backs with very few nights off. Finally, after weeks of waiting, the Sixers get some much-needed rest while waiting for several members of their team to return.
Tonight is the first time this season that the 76ers have had two days off in between games. Philadelphia has had at most one night off, which has been brutal while being without Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle, and so many more. The 76ers have just begun their lengthy road trip on Saturday, with five games left before returning home.
Luckily, there are no road back-to-backs on this trip, with one day of rest in-between each remaining game. It has been easily noticed this group has been running out of gas late after playing great for three quarters, and who can blame them? It isn’t a lack of effort. It’s just difficult to ask any NBA player to play several 40-minute games one after another.
Embiid and Thybulle likely won’t be back against Utah tomorrow night, so hopefully, this extra day gives Tyrese Maxey and company the boost they need to snap their losing streak. After the Jazz, Philly travels to Denver to face the Nuggets, with Embiid’s ten-day period ending in the coming days.
As for Ben Simmons, the Sixers are now fining him for missing the team’s road trip.
