Last night, I tweeted out a question on Twitter asking about what happens to the ice at the Wells Fargo Center when the Flyers and Sixers play in the same arena. Of course, I was then mocked by pretty much everyone who saw the tweet (Thanks Liberty Line Twitter Account) and apparently a lot of people think I’m a disgrace to women in sports? Well first of all, you’re right. Second of all, I did it for content and had a strategy. I know what happens to the ice, obviously (😉).

Some people aren’t as brave as me to tweet something so dumb and so controversial but I actually encourage the hate. And I eat that shit too. Because let’s not act like everyone is born miraculously knowing this logic. Credit to the really crazy responses that told me to make them a sandwich, or that I’m hot but dumb as rocks when it comes to sports. The only thing more brave than me tweeting that out was the men (and women) who would reply with such ridiculous comments.

Here are my favorite responses from fellow Philly fans.

Sean Brace from Fox Sports The Gambler. Apparently we used to have a radio show on his station but got booted for Union soccer and Villanova Basketball this fall? As a Temple student, that’s disgusting, but honestly it’s possible his reply could be true, right? I still don’t know the answer. Sorry to everyone who linked YouTube videos explaining the process, because I most certainly didn’t watch them. Either insult me in the replies or keep it moving. I don’t want a learning session. Thanks though.

This one is severely underrated. 2 likes??? Come on people this was funny. Also don’t give Drew or Vic any ideas about not paying me. I’m a broke college student and need every cent I can get. Why else would I be writing this article? To be clear, I’m an employee not an intern. Thank you.

I don’t know much about this podcast but I do know they are a part of Crossing Broad which apparently sold their website to XL Media for a bunch of money? Great. Now we have one of their podcasts mansplaining things to a female in the sports world. Hope they have good lawyers because this one was screen shotted and saved in the “I’ll blackmail you for money” folder on my desktop.

BEERCAN BRAIN. I wish this one was true, and honestly I wish I had your brain. Looks like Beercan Brain is finally going to come write for The Liberty Line and ditch whatever other blog that had him on board temporarily. It’s about time, Mr. Brain. This is the only place to be for all of the hard hitting Philly sports news in the city. Glad you finally woke up.

I wish Drew wasn’t funny, I really wish he wasn’t. But this, this is top tier. Incredible work as always. I guess that’s what I should expect from my boss. It sucks giving him credit for anything though because now he won’t shut up about it. You win Drew, congrats, I guess. Can you text me and let me know when I’ll be paid again?

Now, I must acknowledge a now deleted tweet. Lady of Philly on Twitter. You disrespected me so hard I honestly applaud you for it and can’t even be mad. We are also now friends. I don’t have the tweet screen shotted sadly, but to sum it up she called me a disgrace to women in sports and told me to make her and her boyfriend a sandwich.

Straight respect, honestly. Love where your heads at and that is what Philly is all about. Now let’s go annihilate the Saints Sunday at the Lincoln Financial Field and hope the Sixers win tonight in Utah. Speaking of the Sixers, luckily they’re still on the road for the next 5 games so we can figure out what the hell the Wells Fargo Center is going to do with all of the ice from the Flyers games.
