76ers After Dark: Road trip continues tonight against the Utah Jazz

After some much-needed days off, the Philadelphia 76ers continue their six-game road trip tonight, traveling to Utah to face the 8-5 Jazz. Utah is on a two-game losing streak, most recently falling to the Heat on Saturday, 111-105. Nobody new is returning from COVID just yet, but Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey can hopefully get the job done.

This team has been tremendous even without Harris and Embiid, but their most significant issue was running out of gas by the fourth quarter. With a few days to rest, there’s a good chance the 76ers can finally snap their four-game losing streak. Georges Niang will be going up against his former team after leaving to join the 76ers in free agency this offseason.

Philadelphia will be without Joel Embiid, Matisse Thybulle, Grant Riller, and of course, Ben Simmons for tonight. Yesterday, it was reported that the 76ers fined Simmons for failing to appear for their road trip as that saga continues. The Jazz won’t have Rudy Gay, who is fighting a heel injury.

Utah isn’t as dominant as they were last season, but it will still be a challenging game with how shorthanded the 76ers are. If they find their footing from deep once again, the Sixers should have a good chance at leaving Utah with a win.
