Rumor: 76ers not interested in Pistons’ offer for Ben Simmons
As if it were any surprise, the 76ers have no interest in trading Ben Simmons for Jerami Grant, according to Michael Kaskey-Blomain of CBS Sports. Kaskey-Blomain also said that there are no current conversations between the two teams. A few days ago, Keith Pompey reported the discussions alongside potential interest in a sign and trade for James Harden.
While Grant is talented, his fit with the 76ers doesn’t make much sense next to Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid. Also, with how Daryl Morey is handling the situation, Grant seems to be far away from the player the Sixers want in return.
As of right now, there doesn’t seem to be any active discussions for the disgruntled 76ers star, with it looking more and more likely they will wait until this upcoming offseason to move him. Meanwhile, Tyrese Maxey and company return to action late tonight in Portland against the Trail Blazers.
