Eagles provide injury update on Darius Slay following 40-29 win over Saints

Not the best news for Darius Slay after his standout game against the New Orleans Saints. The Eagles announced that Slay had entered into concussion protocol after the victory, but no other info was provided. Darius Slay left the game late and headed to the blue medical tent before walking into the locker room with trainers.
Slay took to Twitter after the game to say he was okay, so the concussion doesn’t seem to be major. Usually, with a significant concussion, doctors have those dealing with one stay away from electronic screens, so that’s a good sign.
Alongside Slay, Jordan Howard and Davion Taylor exited the game early and were ruled out due to injury. While all three went to the tent, Taylor and Howard didn’t leave the sideline, indicating that it wasn’t serious.
We will likely get more information on all three as the week goes on, but for Slay, both Sweat and Goedert entered protocols later in the week and were cleared by that Sunday. Philadelphia looks to continue their hot streak this week against the New York Giants, who play the Buccaneers tonight on Monday Night Football.
