Eagles News: Philadelphia expected to exit QB trade discussions with Jalen Hurts’ recent success

If things continue as they have, it looks like the Eagles will be moving forward with Jalen Hurts as their starting quarterback. This morning, Ian Rapoport reported that he’s heard from numerous sources that if Jalen Hurts continues this level of play, Philadelphia will be stepping out of QB discussions this offseason.

Sources have explained this week if Jalen Hurts keeps playing like he has, if the Eagles keep winning, then he will simply be their future.”

Philadelphia has been linked to nearly every QB available, including Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson. With their three first-round picks, it seemed inevitable earlier this season that a new quarterback would be in town. However, Hurts continued to progress and get better while being a phenomenal leader for this football team.

It seems like common sense that this would be the plan, but it’s great to hear it for once, especially with how Howie Roseman has been. Hopefully, Jalen Hurts can continue this hot streak later this afternoon when the Eagles face off against the New York Giants.
