Parx Sportsbook: SportyJordy’s Best Bets for NFL Week 14

Eagles fans get to sit back and relax this Sunday as the Birds are resting up on their (very late) bye week. But do not fear because Week 14 is stacked with a bunch of great match-ups and plenty of chances for us to win some money.
The Vikings kicked off this week with a 36-28 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers – so now it is time to go through some of the betting lines for my favorite games this upcoming weekend and who I will be taking in all of them.
Make sure you’re ready to place your bets by signing up for your new Parx Sportsbook account and using my promo code JORDY. Once you deposit $25.00 your first bet will be RISK-FREE up to $500. Make sure to stick around until the end of this one so you do not miss out on a very nice Odds Boost from Parx.
Now … drum roll, please.
Bills vs. Buccaneers
This game has a lot of potential.
The Buffalo Bills (7-5) are coming off of a horrific divisional, prime-time loss to the New England Patriots and now they have to take on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-3).
This could actually be a Buffalo fan’s worst nightmare. They may not just be jumping onto tables this Sunday — more realistically, they will be throwing themselves through them.
In my heart of hearts, I want to believe that this is going to be a high-scoring, explosive, close game that strictly comes down to whoever has the ball last … but, as much as it pains me, I just can not go there right now.
Yes, the Bills are still a solid football team on paper, and I still very much consider them to be a playoff team. I mean, come on, they have the top-ranked defense in the league right now, but the Buccaneers are going to be coming in hot. They are on a three-game winning streak, Tom Brady is steadily making an MVP campaign, and this Bucs defense is also pretty terrifying.
With the Bills lacking offensively without any sort of run game, I believe they will struggle against this Tampa team who is stacked on both sides of the ball.
According to Parx Sportsbook, the Bucs are 3 point home favorites and I have to take that here.
One positive for the Bills though — the one bet that consistently keeps hitting for me is Josh Allen getting the over on his rushing yards. As previously mentioned, the Bills run-game is as close to non-existent as you can get, but Josh Allen is still a beast and he has been trying to get it done himself. Right now, Parx has his rush yards set at 32.5, and I feel confident the over will hit here, yet again.
Parx Sportsbook Pick:Â Buccaneers -3
49ers vs. Bengals
This is an extremely interesting match-up considering I pegged both of these teams to be victorious in Week 13, and BOTH of them let me down.
What is even more interesting to me is that the 49ers (6-6) are favored in this game.
Granted, Parx Sportsbook has the spread at just 1.5 points, but this feels like such easy money. Overall I consider the Bengals (7-5) to be a much stronger team for various reasons.
One, we know the 49ers have been plagued with injuries over the last two seasons and that is still carrying on as DeeBo Samuel and Elijah Mitchell are both banged up. Samuel was limited in practice Friday, but we have yet to see any signs of Mitchell returning.
This is not necessarily detrimental to the Niners … but it also doesn’t help them either.
Two, the 49ers are second in the league in percentage of designed run plays and they are going up against a Bengals defense that is pretty tough against the rush. Tie this in with the injuries; things are not looking too hot for the Niners.
Although it is not all smooth sailing in Cincinnati either, Joe Burrow is still monitoring a pinky injury that occurred during their loss to the Chargers. It does not seem like anything to be too concerned about, but it is something to keep our eyes on.
Weighing out pros and cons for both teams, overall, this just feels like a great bounce-back game for Cincinnati — who is hanging onto a Wild Card playoff spot. I am not worried about Joe Burrow’s injury, but I am concerned about the injuries on the 49ers.
Bengals +1.5 may honestly be my lock of Week 14.
Parx Sportsbook Pick: Bengals +1.5
Raiders vs. Chiefs
Divisional games are always tough to gauge and they seem to be even tougher when these two teams go head to head.
The Raiders (6-6) were handed a 41-14 loss by the Chiefs (8-4) back in Week 10. Now they have to take them on again, this time in Arrowhead. Since the last time these two faced off, the Raiders are down some players due to injury, the biggest name right now being TE Darren Waller.
The Chiefs have been nothing short of concerning all season. Yes, they have finally started winning and finding themselves in a rhythm with a five-game win streak, but I am still not impressed or intimidated by this team — at all.
This is not saying much, considering I am not really impressed or intimidated by the Raiders right now either after having yet another tough loss in Week 13. However, they did prove to us on Thanksgiving that they can still step up to the occasion with a win over the Cowboys in Dallas.
Both of these teams confuse me, if we are being honest. As of right now, Parx has the Chiefs as 9.5 point favorites.
Let’s be realistic, this Raiders offense is extremely suspect, even more so now with the injuries, and the Chiefs are playing solid defense. I have no doubts that the Chiefs will keep up their winning streak in this one … but the 9.5 point spread is not sitting quite right with me.
I am predicting the Chiefs to come out on top — but it will not be a blowout like we saw earlier this season and I am taking Las Vegas to cover.
Parx Sportsbook Pick: Raiders +9.5
Lions vs. Broncos
This game is one that I am really not looking forward to watching at all, but I do think it is worth betting on.
The Lions (1-10-1) are fresh off of their first win of the season and they are set to take on the Denver Broncos (6-6) in Mile High.
I have to admit — I am guilty of taking the Lions with the points nearly every single week this season. And every single week, I have the same defense, “this is going to be their first win.”
That finally came true this week, but even though the Lions have definitely not been winning prior to Week 13, I have to give them credit — they are very good against the spread.
Now in Week 14, the Broncos are 10 point favorites and while I absolutely think this will be an easy win for them (yes, the Lions now have a tick in the win column, but they are still the Lions), I can not see them winning by 10.
Denver has struggled on offense these last couple of weeks and Detroit is still very much rebuilding but in three of their last four games, the Lions have held opponents to just 16 points or less.
So here we are — and my tradition of taking the Lions against the spread continues.
Parx Sportsbook Pick: Lions +10
Giants vs. Chargers
Last but not least, we have the New York Giants (4-8) traveling to Los Angeles to take on Justin Herbert and the Chargers (7-5).
The Giants are in pretty unfortunate territory here. They lost quarterback Daniel Jones to a neck injury and had Mike Glennon – the neck himself — in to replace him… but now Glennon is dealing with a concussion.
As of Thursday morning, Danny Dimes has yet to be cleared for contact, but things are looking up for Glennon. Joe Judge is “optimistic” that he will be their guy against the Chargers.
In Week 13, the Chargers looked very much like themselves in a massive win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Herbert threw for 317 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.
The Chargers have some pretty unfortunate news, though; it looks like they could be without Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Even with this news, though, I expect a huge win from this team.
Especially considering that the Giants are barely average when their team is 100% healthy, add that now they are traveling across the country with their backup QB who won’t be back to 100% himself. I think this is the perfect time for the Chargers to lock in another win and help themselves to lock up a playoff spot.
Right now, Parx Sportsbook has LA as 10 point favorites and normally I steer very clear of double-digit point spreads, but I fully expect this to be a blowout. It’s generous they only gave them 10 points.
Parx Sportsbook Pick: Chargers -10
ODDS BOOST
I hope you didn’t think I forgot about the odds boost I mentioned early in this article.
Parx Odds Boosts have been a Godsend all season. I took advantage of +320 odds in Thursday Night Football this week to have either Najee Harris OR Justin Jefferson score the first touchdown of the night. Obviously, Justin Jefferson stepped up to the plate and helped me cash out big time.
For this weekend though, Parx is offering a 1 PM Sweep with +250 Odds, and a 4 PM Blitz at +500.
Personally, I am taking full advantage of the 4 PM Blitz — not only are the odds amazing (considering before they were at +362), but I picked all of these teams to win before I even looked at the boost.
The Broncos, Buccaneers, Chargers, and Bengals ALL to win at +500 Odds? Give that to me ten times over, please and thank you.
Parx Sportsbook Odds Boost: Broncos, Buccaneers, Chargers, and Bengals ALL to Win at +500 Odds (WAS +362)
