Eagles bring back cornerback to practice squad, plus some news about Travis Fulgham

Monday’s following an Eagles BYE Week are always brutal. There’s not a lot going on in the football world that hasn’t already been covered on the website earlier today. Hell, the Eagles social media team just returned to Twitter today after a few days off, which apparently everyone was really “mad” about?

Let me just say, not having to watch the birds saved my the state of my mental health over the weekend. But now it’s time to switch focus and get ready for the Wild Card hunt. The Eagles still looking for a playoff spot is the only thing keeping me from succumbing to seasonal depression.

Anyways, content doesn’t wait for anyone and neither does the internet. We have a small bit of news coming from the Philadelphia Eagles regarding some roster moves, which we all know that everyone loves to click on. Why? I have no idea and could honestly care less. But let’s get into it and see what we have cooking.

Return of the Mac (McCain) has happened yet again. McCain has been bounced around the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles all season long. Today he was finally brought back to the Eagles’ practice squad roster. McCain did play with the Eagles in Week 3 against the Cowboys, taking 13 snaps on special teams, but barring a roster injury, it looks like he’ll be hanging on the practice squad for the foreseeable future.

In other practice squad news, former Eagle’s WR Travis Fulgham was released from the Dolphins practice squad this afternoon. In Fulgham’s 2020 season with the Eagles, he was their leading wide receiver with 38 catches for 539 yards and four touchdowns. Talk about a flash in the pan.

Fulgham was cut from the Eagles practice squad in early October, went to the Miami Dolphins, and never played a single snap. The Dolphins cut Fulgham to pursue another wide receiver today.

For those of you who are still big on Travis Fulgham, there is a possibility he makes his way back to the Eagles roster following today’s news that WR Quez Watkins is heading to health and safety protocols.

It’s probably not going to happen. Obviously I know that. But at this point, can we really rely on Jalen Reagor as the only other wide receiver? I think Greg Ward is missing? I haven’t seen him since he dropped a touchdown against the Giants.

Maybe bringing Fulgham back isn’t as crazy as it sounds. Let me know what you think.

unfiltered, opinionated, and certainly do not care if you like it or not.
