Eagles social media team is back after BYE week so everyone can stop pretending to be mad now

Last week heading into the BYE, the Philadelphia Eagles social media team sent out the following tweet saying that they will be taking a break from posting anything while the team was not playing.
At the time, I really didn’t think anything of it. If the Eagles aren’t playing, who cares if the social team is sending out tweets. Just look at the Phillies Twitter account and website during the lockout, it’s completely empty with filler content.
If the Eagles staff had one chance all season to step away from their jobs, it certainly would be during the only week that the birds aren’t playing. However, as we all know, no one can do anything these days without being met with criticism.
I would also love to see anyone mad at this be given a few days off and say “no, I’m going to continue to work so people on Twitter don’t get mad at me” like anyone gives a shit about these random accounts with no real profile information in the first place.
Fake outrage about the Eagles taking the weekend off poured in across Twitter. Here’s a slideshow of some of the replies from a bunch of idiots who apparently work 7 days a week and sit around and wait for an Eagles Twitter notification to find out any type of news about the team.
A lot of them focus around the Pro Bowl. Of course you can retweet to vote for your players on Twitter and people were unhappy that the Eagles were taking a few days off from the retweets. Hey everyone, just go here to vote for the Pro Bowl. It’s not that serious and honestly, only five players actually deserve a shot to make it anyways.
Luckily, the Eagles are returning today from their break in tweeting so order will be restored across the city of Philadelphia. Everyone can breathe a huge sigh of relief and we can get back to those Pro Bowl tweets.
Also shout out losers like this, who replied saying “Durrhhh we aren’t taking a BYE week! Fly on Over!”

Idiots. I’m sure the Eagles will tweet shortly how they are “back.” Everyone turn those notifications on. You’re going to be okay, I promise.
