Official list of Union players available for MLS Expansion Draft

The MLS Expansion Draft takes place tonight, and the Union have ten unprotected players that could be on the move if selected. This expansion draft is for Charlotte F.C., who will be Major League Soccer’s newest team for the 2022 season.

Charlotte has the chance to draft five players to their roster during the draft tonight. If they take a Union player, it will only be the third time that this has happened. The first time was in 2011 where Montreal took Justin Mapp and the second time was in 2014 where Orlando City drafted Pedro Ribeiro.Â
All homegrowns are protected from the expansion draft, which is excellent news for the Union, who are good at producing them. The Union ended up protecting a total of 12 players from their roster and have made their roster decisions for next year.
