Eagles place another player on Reserve/COVID-19 list, Jalen Hurts’ status revealed

With a little over 24 hours until their matchup against the Washington Football Team, the Eagles’ COVID-19 issues continue to get worse, with another offensive lineman entering health and safety protocols.

Left tackle Andre Dillard has been placed on the Eagles’ Reserve/COVID-19 list, ruling him out of tomorrow’s game. Dillard joins teammate and fellow offensive lineman Landon Dickerson, who was placed on the list yesterday afternoon.

Dillard and Dickerson are the only two Eagles currently on the COVID-19 list, with Quez Watkins and Jason Huntley activated yesterday.

Although it’s a tough loss for Philadelphia, Washington has been battling far worse COVID issues. A few hours ago, the WFT announced that seven of their assistant coaches and All-Pro guard Brandon Scherff would miss tomorrow due to COVID-19.

Without Dillard, the Eagles have no stable backup for Jordan Mailata if he suffers an injury. Their only backup at either tackle position is Brett Toth, with Jack Driscoll done for the season. It shouldn’t be a worry as of right now, but it’s something to keep an eye on during tomorrow’s game.

Eagles Injury Report for December 20th:

Jalen Hurts Status for Tomorrow

In positive news, nobody received an injury designation this week, meaning that Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders, and Jordan Howard will be active. Having Hurts back will be a massive boost for Philadelphia’s offense. There has been no word on how his ankle has been over the last few days, but the extra rest days have certainly helped.

Alongside their lengthy COVID list, Washington will be without running back J.D. McKissic and wide receiver Curtis Samuel. Tight end Ricky Seals-Jones is listed as questionable due to a concussion. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 Tuesday on FOX.
