QB Prospect Kenny Pickett attends Eagles-Washington divisional battle

Heisman candidate and future draft pick Kenny Pickett is enjoying his last days as an NFL fan. Per his Instagram story Tuesday night, Pickett was in attendance for the Eagles’ 27-17 victory over the Washington Football Team. The former Pittsburgh quarterback has been a lifelong Eagles fan, growing up in New Jersey, and often attended games with his dad as a child.

A few weeks ago, Pickett discussed his childhood fandom in an interview with Dan Patrick, and brought up Donovan McNabb in particular when talking about the team. While it is always nice to see a draft pick reunite with their hometown team, it doesn’t appear Pickett will be in the cards for Philadelphia.Â
Between Jalen Hurts’ recent play and their interest in the trade market, targeting a quarterback in the draft doesn’t seem likely. Even if the Eagles were interested, Pickett would almost certainly be off the board when they’re on the clock. Howie Roseman has shown interest, scouting Pittsburgh’s game against UNC earlier this season in person.
It was quite the showing for the Eagles on Tuesday night, and it’s nice Pickett got to enjoy one final moment in the stands before being on the field himself. Although it doesn’t seem likely he lands in Philly, things could change by draft day. In the meantime, the Eagles look to keep their playoff hopes alive this Sunday against the New York Giants.
