Pick Tracker: Where the Eagles’ draft selections stand after Week 17

Things went well across the board for the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday afternoon. Alongside a 20-16 win over the Washington Football Team, both the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts lost. The Eagles now hold the 14th, 19th, and 21st selections in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins were blown out by the Tennessee Titans 34-3 and have been eliminated from playoff contention. Their pick will be within the top-18 no matter what happens next week. Next Sunday, Miami faces the New England Patriots, and another loss could send their pick as high as the 10th selection.

Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis had a far closer showing but couldn’t get the job done, losing to the Las Vegas Raiders 23-20. Carson Wentz returned yesterday after missing all week due to COVID-19 but didn’t do much in helping the Colts win, and even said he felt “sluggish” after dealing with COVID.

Wentz had just one touchdown and 148 yards passing when the team needed him most.

The Colts still hold a wildcard spot, but another loss next week could push Indy out of the playoff picture. Luckily for them, they travel to Jacksonville next Sunday to face the 2-14 Jaguars.

Philadelphia hosts the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night to wrap up the regular season. There isn’t much the Eagles can do to change their playoff seeding, so there’s a good chance they will rest their starters for most, if not all, of the game.

Although it’s not as promising as it looked to start the season, the Eagles are in an excellent position for the upcoming draft. Having three selections in the first round is still outstanding for any team that is also going to the playoffs. It’s extremely rare for a playoff team to have this much capital to bolster their roster.

Don’t mess it up, Howie Roseman.
