Eagles list 7 players on first injury report of the week

Following their victory over the Washington Football Team, the Eagles’ injury report is slim to start the week.
Just seven players were listed, which is a great sign for the team’s availability this weekend. Regardless, most starters will likely sit out or play just one quarter against the Dallas Cowboys since Saturday’s game is meaningless.
Eagles Injury Report for January 4th

Jack Anderson
Anderson is a backup guard for the Eagles, but missing practice could hurt him this weekend. Nate Herbig and Jason Kelce are on the COVID-19 list, and if they are unavailable by Saturday, Anderson is in line to start. I highly doubt just an “illness” will keep Anderson out against the Cowboys, so hopefully we see his name fall off the list in the coming days.
Shaun Bradley
Bradley was involved in a minor car accident on Saturday and was held out on Sunday for precautionary reasons. The Eagles are likely doing the same again this weekend and slowly bringing Bradley back into the fold.
Landon Dickerson
Dickerson’s thumb injury is new and was likely suffered on Sunday against Washington. Nick Sirianni didn’t mention him yesterday when listing key injuries, so this is precautionary.
Jalen Hurts
Hurts has been limited in most practices since he returned from his ankle injury, so this isn’t unusual. Like the rest of the starters, it’s doubtful Hurts plays Saturday, and he will get another week to rest his ankle before the playoffs.
Recovery Week
Miles Sanders has already been ruled out this weekend due to his broken hand, and some of these players could join him. There’s nothing to gain from playing the starters on Saturday, so if anyone is dealing with minor injuries, it’s the perfect time to recover.
