Eagles’ starters clown Cowboys for unnecessarily playing in last night’s game

Cowboys fans were quick to trash the Eagles following their 51-26 victory last night. Anyone who watched this game knows that score doesn’t represent a true divisional matchup between these teams.
Philadelphia shut down Jalen Hurts, Fletcher Cox, and almost all of their other starters ahead of kick-off. In fact, the only four true starters that played were Jason Kelce, DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor, and Quez Watkins. On the other hand, Dallas felt they needed to unnecessarily play their starters the entire game.
Here’s a look at the official snap count from the game.

Jason Kelce left after one play while Smity exited after just 14 snaps. Reagor played the entirety of the game, and Watkins played 31 snaps. These four played a combined 115 snaps, with clearly most of those coming from Reagor and Watkins.
The Cowboys’ 14 starters combined for over 650 snaps, with most playing through the fourth quarter. Dak Prescott played 82% of their offensive snaps while throwing a career-high five touchdowns. Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Ezekiel Elliott, and their starting offensive line all played a similar amount to Prescott yesterday.
While Cowboys fans are jumping up and down about the win and looking like complete idiots in the process, not a single Eagles fan or player even cared. Of course, they supported Minshew and company in hopes of seeing them succeed, but everyone and their mothers knew the game was pointless.
In fact, some players took to social media to clown Dallas for blowing out their backups.

I can’t imagine Dak and the rest of the Cowboys starters taking last night seriously as Darius Slay points and laughs at Amari Cooper for burning Tay Gowan.
The worst part was ESPN chiming in and hyping up Dak for throwing five touchdowns, tying a career-high. Sure, for records sake, it’s something to be acknowledged, but maybe a little context would help?
It’s like when I would get angry after an Eagles loss and turned on Madden to blow out whoever they played 96-0 on rookie mode. I know, this example makes me sound like a nerd with zero friends. I’m fine with it. I also went for two after every touchdown. I need to get out of the house more.
Anyways, point being, Dak definitely played well but at least mention the fact it was against the backup Philadelphia Eagles or at the very least, run another story of Eagles players laughing at Dallas for playing their starters for the majority of the game.
This might be a “boomer” question but I think it’s also worth noting. How fragile of an ego do you have, that you need to run up the score on a division rival who rested their starters? Both teams are locked into playoff sports and no ones future heading into Wild Card weekend changed anyways.
So congrats, Dallas, on going 6-0 in the NFC East this season. I’m sure you’ll hold onto this victory tightly when you get blown out by the Cardinals again next weekend.

But the Cowboys spanked the Eagles starters this year too.
What a clown take. The Cowboys had seeding to play for, and in hindsight their victory actually did end up being the difference between the No. 3 and No. 4 seed. Jack seems to have no inclination to do any sort of research or proofreading in any of his articles, but even this is a new low.
What is this guy talking about the Cowboys worn’t blown out by the Cardinals also if you want to keep the momentum going then yes you play the starters all four quarters because if you’re red hot heading into the playoffs momentum is on your side en we seen teams get red hot before the season ends and win it all also too much rest is bad for the players they get rusty.
