Some guy named “The Miz” made a joke about Ben Simmons and Philly being a crap city last night at WWE Raw

WWE Raw was apparently in the city of Brotherly Love last night doing one of those wrestling shows. I’m not going to pretend like I have any idea about wrestling outside of WCW vs NWO on Nintendo 64. So please, spare me any wrestling comments, I simply do not care.
At some point during the event, a guy named “The Miz” was on stage and dropped a “joke” about Ben Simmons and him being in Philadelphia.
Don’t correct me if I’m wrong, but is “The Miz” the same guy from those MTV Real World or possibly Road Rules reality television shows? Now he’s a WWE wrestler? Zero clue, but here’s the video:
“Looking at this crowd, I can say with the utmost conviction, that I stand with Ben Simmons. I too would give up 33 million dollars just to not play in this crap city. I mean have you seen yourselves? Can you blame him? And hello, Edge!”
Alright. From what I gather, WWE is all a bunch of bad actors fake wrestling, which is totally fine. I know a lot of people, including members here at TLL like watching wrestling. Crap city? Way to look tough while using crap instead of shit, weirdo.
Maybe “The Miz” is just trying to land a joke here? After a quick Google Search, this dude is from Parma, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland.
Look, I know WWE is scripted. That doesn’t excuse the bad writing and performance from The Miz and the terrible acting by this nerd. Sorry you couldn’t make it on Broadway as an extra in Lin Manuel Miranda’s dumb Hamlet play. While we’re at it, that shit sucked too and people need to stop pretending they enjoy that load of garbage.
Just be better before you bring up Ben Simmons and Philly being a crap city.
From there, you have to assume it’s a joke. The writers should have known this bozo is saying that Philadelphia is a crap city hailing from Parma, Ohio which according to Google, is just outside of Cleveland.
The entire thing looks like a lazy attempt at pandering to a Philadelphia crowd about Ben Simmons.
He probably saw the video of all the idiots chanting “Fuck Ben Simmons” a few months ago at an AEW wrestling match and thought that he could get away with a corny joke of his own.
Boooooo. No pandering Mizzy Boy. Don’t like that or your cute little wrestling act.
