Tom McCarthy set to call the Eagles Wild Card game on Westwood One Sports

The Eagles will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round of the NFC Playoffs this Sunday, at 1:00 PM EST. The game will be broadcasted on FOX, but there will also be a national radio option on Westwood One Sports.
Yesterday, it was announced that two familiar Philadelphia voices will be on the call for the game. Tom McCarthy, Phillies TV play-by-play announcer, and former Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski will take over broadcasting duties on Westwood One Sports.
Tom McCarthy is no stranger to announcing NFL football, as he is a frequent announcer for NFL on CBS during the Phillies’ offseason. He’s done multiple preseason games for the Cleveland Browns, as well as a Tuesday night primetime game last season showcasing the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans.
McCarthy was on the TV call for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina Panthers game just last week, where he filled in for the legendary Jim Nantz, who was exposed to COVID-19.Â
Ron Jaworski will also be on the call with McCarthy, alongside retired NFL player Derek Rackley. Jaworski spent five seasons on the Monday Night Football call and has been working under Westwood One Sports as of recent along with McCarthy.
You can hear the call on SiriusXM, or on the TuneIn App this Sunday at 1:00. If you are watching the game on FOX, you’ll get the pairing of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman.
After a rough 2-5 start to the season, the Eagles have found themselves playing on Wild Card Weekend, with a rookie head coach, and a quarterback playing his first full season.
They have another matchup with the GOAT, and we all remember what happened last time the team played Tom Brady in the playoffs.
If you’re driving during the game, or don’t have access to the TV broadcast, turn on Tom McCarthy and Ron Jaworski, and listen to the Eagles win on Sunday.Â
Go Birds.
