Cap Alert: Tom Brady praises Eagles ahead of Wild Card matchup

After yesterday’s Week 18 NFL slate, the Philadelphia Eagles finally locked in their opponent for the Wild Card. This weekend, the Eagles will face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in Florida on Sunday at 1PM.
This will be the second time the Eagles and Bucs faced off this year. Earlier this season, Tampa Bay came to South Philly and escaped with a 28-22 victory.
As we all know, the Eagles are a much different team than what we witnessed in early October.
Philadelphia only ran the ball 19 times that game while throwing it 26 times. Miles Sanders had just nine attempts while averaging 6.2 yards per carry. Jalen Hurts had the other ten, totaling 44 yards.
Regardless, we have now arrived at the playoffs and the GOAT is first up, standing in our way at another Super Bowl run.
After the Bucs win yesterday, Brady was asked about facing the Eagles in the first round of the playoffs.
No surprise here. In typical Tom Brady fashion, he had nothing but nice things to say about the Philadelphia Eagles and honestly, it drives me crazy.
“It’s our toughest opponent all year.“
“They’re very talented. It’s gonna be a very tough game.”
I believe the kids on Twitter call this “cap.” Tom Brady can spare me the nice guy routine. He does this all of the time but when things get tough, he cries like a little baby and throws fits on the sideline. Yes, I know we are talking about the GOAT here, but I’m not going to sugarcoat my feelings on it.
Here’s Brady talking about the Eagles before their Week 6 matchup back in October.
Give me a break, will ya Tom? The GOAT has praised just about anyone he’s ever played, including teams like the Lions and Texans, so absolutely no one should take this to heart.
This is also the same guy who still refuses to shake Nick Foles hand, which will never make sense to me.
If you have the opportunity to shake the hand of God, you take it 10/10 times.
Of course, I don’t expect Brady to come out and trash his playoff opponent. That would be stupid and something that the 40-something quarterback would never do. However for the Eagles, I think they should know better.
This isn’t the typical bulletin board material where someone on the opposing team says something and you use it to help light a spark, but the fact that it’s not really a genuine statement from the GOAT should resonate the same way.
Brady isn’t some happy-go-lucky quarterback. I think he knows exactly what he’s doing and it’s honestly insulting. This guy thrives off revenge and credit to him, holds one hell of a grudge. I would imagine off camera he’s talking about stomping on the throats of Philadelphians after what happened in the Super Bowl.
Hopefully we can watch Tom Brady storm off the field and usher in a new era of him not shaking hands with Eagles quarterbacks with Jalen Hurts.
