Tom Brady responds to the ongoing Nick Foles handshake scandal

Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles continue to live rent-free in Tom Brady’s head. One of the biggest gripes Eagles fans have with Buccaneers quarterback is his petty feud with Super Bowl MVP and Eagles legend Nick Foles.
Their conflict started immediately after Super Bowl 52, where Tom Brady did not shake the Eagles quarterback’s hand following their 41-33 loss. For someone who had been there so many times, Brady looked like a sore loser. He clearly knew that he needed to shake his hand, as it’s an NFL tradition, but just conveniently “forgot” to do so, despite a hundred cameramen trying to capture the moment.
Flash forward to 2020, and the pair faced off once again, but with Brady in Tampa Bay and Foles playing for the Chicago Bears. The Bears won the game, and when Foles went to meet Brady at midfield, he was once again nowhere to be found.
Ahead of their Wild Card matchup against the Eagles, Brady was asked about his refusal to shake Nick Foles’ hand on both occasions. However, instead of stating the obvious about avoiding him since 2017, Brady doubled down on his actions, saying he didn’t even know fans were upset.
“I’ve shaken Nick’s hand plenty of times. I have a lot of respect for Nick. I try to be a good sport as best I can… I know it doesn’t always look like I’m a good sport.”
He can’t think we’re that stupid, right? The 2020 incident you could excuse because it was during the COVID-19 pandemic, but Brady made sure to shake every QB’s hand besides Foles that season. We aren’t talking about a mid-tier player here either. This is the league’s best player ever, the face of football. He knows what his actions show, and he doesn’t care.
It’s crab behavior through and through. And I, for one, won’t stand for it.
I’m curious what the lines are at on if he will once again forget to shake Jalen Hurts’ hand if the Eagles win on the road this weekend. Our good friends over at Parx Sportsbook don’t have anything set up yet, but I would bet a lot of money on no handshake from Brady with an Eagles’ win.
However, Parx does have a special running for new signups that you can check out below.
