Ben Simmons finally speaks…in a statement about partnering with a Crypto NFT eSports Organization
Ben Simmons finally releases a statement and speaks on…Crypto NFT eSports?
According to Marc J. Spears, the Crypto NFT eSports organization Perion announced that Philadelphia 76ers forward Ben Simmons has joined as a strategic advisor and ambassador.
Perion is an NFT eSports team aspiring to deliver on the economic promise of metaverse gaming.
Jesus Christ, where do I even begin?
According to the press release below, Simmons will utilize the structure and legacy expertise of Perion to reach a previously untapped community of games and crypto curious athletes, helping to provide the best metaverse assets to under-served games.
How anyone thinks that Ben Simmons is a partner and ambassador to anything at this point in his career is absolutely insane. Simmons is the poster boy for “what not to do with your life and career” after refusing to play basketball.
The press release continues saying that “Ben’s story resonates with a large segment of our community; people from humble backgrounds dedicated to mastering their craft and changing their fortunes. On top of the already immense talent he brings on the court, he’s now bringing that success to a different kind of game – one that has the potential to impact the masses.”
Has co-founder of Crypto NFT eSports Organization Person (mouthful) Amos Whitewolf ever watched Ben Simmons play basketball? Does he realize Ben Simmons is not currently playing basketball?
Ben Simmons hasn’t mastered anything. He’s not bringing any type of immense talent to the basketball court. He’s a terrible business person and has managed to lose the majority of his NBA salary this year, while also losing key sponsorships such as Nike, Beats, and Essentia Water.
The entire thing makes zero sense and honestly, I would never work or do business with Perion, ever. How could you trust a company that says these things about Ben Simmons? They are clueless about everything.
Simmons must be getting desperate and taking any type of sponsorship deals he can get. At the same time, where is he going to promote this? He already deleted his Instagram account and I doubt he’ll ever return to Twitter.
What a dumb partnership and even more dumb thing to announce. Take a hike in the metaverse, Benjamin. Good riddance.
