Rumor: Howie Roseman “eyeing up” Malik Willis at 2022 Senior Bowl

After being spotted scouting first-round prospect Kenny Pickett earlier this week, it appears Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles are doing their due diligence with the entire quarterback class.
According to Football Outsiders, Roseman has been spotted paying close attention to Liberty QB Malik Willis during Senior Bowl practices. The mobile QB was considered a top-ten pick early in the draft process but is now projected to be a late-first, early second-round pick.
Numerous scouts and analysts have called Willis the early winner of the Senior Bowl, clearly having the best arm talent of the group.
“He rifles off medium-range passes, both from the pocket and on the run, with little effort. Willis doesn’t have an off-speed pitch, however, and his accuracy was scattershot on Tuesday. Still, some teams are about to have visions of Trey Lance-meets-Josh Allen dancing in their heads. Some Eagle-eyed observers noted Howie Roseman paying particular attention to Willis.”
Hopefully, it’s just Howie scouting someone since he’s already there, but things haven’t looked good for Jalen Hurts so far this offseason. Rumors have lingered that Philly has inquired about Deshaun Watson again and will likely try to trade for Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
The 22-year-old had a stellar 2021 season, throwing for over 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns while rushing for another 878 yards and 13 TDs over 13 games.
