Things Nobody Wanted: A month long special called “WIP Picks the QB” with Angelo Cataldi

As if the month of February couldn’t get any worse, WIP has launched a new segment titled “WIP Picks the QB” where throughout the month of February, everyone’s favorite Philly sports talk radio host Angelo Cataldi will be joined by other hosts at the radio station to make their pitch for who should be the next Eagles quarterback.
Wow, what an innovative idea from Philadelphia’s #1 Sports Talk Radio show. This clearly has never been done before. WIP literally talks about the Eagles quarterback situation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Hell, Angelo Cataldi was literally dressed up like Gardner Minshew just a few months ago. He talks about the Eagles quarterback situation so much doctors have begun questioning him about having dementia.
I understand that the sports world is crawling right now. It happens every year in the break between the NFL Playoffs and the Super Bowl. However, if you mean to tell me this is the only thing that WIP can drum up for content, then everything that we have said here at The Liberty Line about Philly Sports Talk Radio and how there is a desperate need for a change is even more apparent now.
Honestly, the entire thing is pretty sad. No one gives a shit about the Eagles quarterback situation right now. We have months to discuss that and honestly, no one’s opinion on WIP is even worth a single penny on who they want as quarterback. I can literally outline the entire segment for you in a matter of two minutes, rather than poisoning the listeners of sports talk radio for a full 28 days in the month of February.
Jalen Hurts: Showed progression, needs to throw better
DeShaun Watson: Troubles off the field, would be an upgrade
Aaron Rodgers: Major upgrade, struggles to win big games, old
Draft a QB: Weak draft class, but there are a few names
Gardner Minshew: Beat the Jets, love his energy
Nick Foles: Because someone at WIP is dumb enough to bring his name up
There you have it, WIP Picks the QB is now complete in an article that took five minutes to write. Save your ears from bleeding and we can find something else to talk about.
Listen to Fox Sports the Gambler on 102.5FM Philly and iHeart Radio. The Daily Ticket with Sean Brace runs circles around WIP.
[…] That comment out of Singer seemed to come after some lackluster promotion 97.5 ran. As usual, I didn’t catch the show this morning, so I have no further context to go off. Regardless sure whatever the full segment was was better than anything WIP has put out recently. […]
