Flyers and Red Wings fans throw down in the stands in a packed Little Caesars Arena

The other night, the Philadelphia Flyers got their doors blown off by the Detroit Red Wings. It was a packed house at the Little Caesars Arena to watch the game, as the Flyers continue to make a post All-Star game push for the playoffs.
The most exciting part of the game happened in the stands, when a huge brawl broke out among what seemed like the entire fans in the stadium, which was like, a total of 20 people. Here’s the video courtesy of Kevin Kinkead from Crossing Broad, courtesy of c_brad7 on Instagram.
I get it. Everyone is mad and when it’s below freezing temperatures outside and you are going to watch a horrible Flyers team play hockey in an empty arena, you’re entering the Little Caesars Arena pissed off already.
On top of that, since it was so empty, you could hear every little thing happening on the ice and in the stands, so it was a perfect scene for a brawl between Red Wings and Flyers fans. The Red Wings aren’t a great team (22-21-6) but they are certainly better than the 15-24-8 Flyers team.
Not sure who started the brawl but either the Red Wings fans were telling Flyers fans how bad they are (true) or they were pissed off that any Flyers fan would have the audacity to speak to them about hockey given the current state of the team in Philly.
One hell of a fight, lots of punches being landed, the one dude didn’t even have a shirt on, and the one guys nose was gushing blood. I wish everyone on the ice had as much energy as these guys in the stands because overall, it was a real shitty hockey game and just an embarrassing sight to see in the stands.
I don’t know why people fight at sporting events anyways. These gym class heroes need to go to the local YMCA and let out some energy. Stop fighting like children in the stands and grow up. There’s nothing to fight about, especially at a Flyers game between two bad hockey teams.
Enjoy the weekend.
