Jason Kelce welcomes James Harden to Philadelphia, talks Ben Simmons while in LA for the Super Bowl

Jason Kelce was out in Los Angeles for the Bengals-Rams Super Bowl as a finalist to win the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, which was ultimately awarded to Rams LT Andrew Whitworth.
During an interview, Kelce caught up with reporters and welcomed new 76ers player James Harden to Philly, and also took some time to clear up comments he made a few months ago in regards to Ben Simmons.

In his most recent interview, Kelce acknowledged that his bear was going to have to take a back seat now that James Harden has arrived in Philadelphia. Kelce continued saying that he was extremely happy to welcome Harden to Philly before diving in to the Ben Simmons topic.

Kelce clarifies that he never had a problem with Ben Simmons and that his comments were more about the city of Philadelphia and what it takes to win the fanbase here over.
Kelce stated that Ben Simmons is super talented and that if he can fix certain parts in his game (shooting, obviously) that he could be one of the best players in the NBA.
I don’t think Kelce has to clarify or say anything about his previous comments about Ben Simmons. Kelce was completely right and is still right about every word he has said about Simmons, and the city of Philadelphia.
When asked if the Philadelphia 76ers are a championship contender now that Harden has arrived, Kelce responded perfectly, saying “they better be.”

Also worth noting that during the Walter Payton Award ceremony, Kelce was wearing a suit, no tie, unbuttoned shirt, and flip-flops. Quite the look, but if anyone can pull it off, it’s definitely Jason Kelce.
