Flyers Play of the Day, bad beats and NBA All-Star winners, We Ride

Last night’s NBA All Star game was electric!
Something that these exhibitions never seem to do is deliver but the scene in Cleveland was everything you could have wanted. Curry made 16 three-pointers and only watched maybe 4 of them actually go in the net.
Add to that you had LeBron hitting a fadeaway winner in his home town and most importantly, the NBA MVP Joel Embiid banging the second most 3’s last night while putting on a show. 36 points, 10 rebounds and 5-8 from beyond. If it wasn’t for Steph Curry going full NBA2K Rookie mode, this would have been Embiid’s night. But he did and my bank roll thanks him for it.
There were two plays I had last night and we cashed them both. First one was Curry/Young/Tatum/Booker/Luka to combined for 20+ 3pts.

Thank god for Curry because yes this did hit in the third but no thanks to everyone else. This group finished with 23 total 3pts. Meaning had Curry only hit 12 last night instead of 16, I’d be livid.
And then we had this play below, couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw it. LeBron 20+ and Team LeBron to win +132.

Couldn’t bet it fast enough. Team LeBron was winning this game, they were too good top to bottom. And there was no way on God’s green Earth LeBron wasn’t getting at least 20 in Cleveland. I was almost positive he was getting MVP before the game started just because the NBA loves their storylines. This might be the easiest +132 bet you’ll ever see.
Bad Beat of The Night
Bad beat of the night yesterday came at the end of the Michigan Wisconsin game. Besides Wisconsin’s assistant coach that took a slap to the face from Juwan Howard, under bettors also ate one as well. Over/under for this game was 138.5 and 139.5 depending on which book you’re using. 13 seconds left Jordan Davis hits 1 of 2 free throws to bring the total to 138. Michigan gets a 3 pointer off with 7 seconds left, should be a winner for you under bettors. Until Jace Howard decided to ruin your day. Meaningless layup as time expires. Woooooooooof

Play of The Day: Hurricanes ML 3-way no push (-122)
Flyers hosting the Hurricanes tonight and as the lead Flyers blogger for The Liberty Line, I thought we should see if there is a play here tonight and there just so happens to be one. Maybe two. The money line tonight is a little too much juice for me at -215 but Carolina feels like the play.
Hurricanes have something to play for in the top spots in the Metropolitan, the East and the entire league. The Flyers are battling for a top 3 draft position. Two squads heading very different directions.
I like Carolina tonight to win it and at -122, I’ll take them to do it in regulation. Typically I always lean on the side of, don’t bet home team dogs, but the Flyers don’t have much home ice advantage this season.
The other play in this game I am strongly leaning on is over 6 goals scored. Hurricanes’ games have gone under 6 goals only twice in the last seven they’ve played. And the Flyers have only held opponents to under 3 goals two times in the last 19 games. Meaning, Carolina should have no trouble putting up 4 tonight, the real question is, can Philadelphia put up 3. I think they can, so over 6 flat gives you a really great push/win situation.
Bet the over 6, feel good knowing you have a push safety net to catch you in case they can’t get it to 7. Also to note, last time these two played we had a final score of Carolina 6-3 which wouldn’t surprise me if that was the exact score tonight.
We Ride.
