Modern day Bonnie and Clyde spend night hiding in Target, get charged with trespassing

I think it’s safe to say that people in the suburbs have too much time on their hands. In Chester County, a couple of YouTube creators have been charged with criminal trespassing after spending part of a night hiding in a Target in Exton.
The entire experience was uploaded to their YouTube page “Saucy and Honey.”
I know what you’re thinking and to be clear, no, I’m not going to sit here and judge these two for hiding in Target. What I will do, however, is dissect their video titled “24 Hour Overnight Challenge in Target!! (Caught?!?)” for your enjoyment.

The video starts off with a quote from Suzanne Collins, who wrote The Hunger Games. For those not familiar, The Hunger Games is a dystopian young adult novel with themes of the pointlessness of celebrity and how we distract ourselves from the horror of everyday life by pretending it’s all a show.
From there, the video follows the standard YouTube video that everyone is familiar with when it comes to these types of videos.
In a car with someone screaming into an iPhone.
As they sit parked in the Target parking lot, Honey takes the lead and is clearly the driving force behind this duo. She exudes the kind of hollow excitement that comes from a life of being on camera. When the camera is on, so is she. Saucy, unfortunately, doesn’t have nearly the same energy level.

They hide behind boxes and call it a “fort” and seem genuinely nervous that somebody will catch them.
(At this point I feel the need to point out that our heroes are 25 and 24 years old.)

Nobody working retail cares enough to look for stowaways hiding in Target. They don’t even want to talk to customers that approach them asking for help during normal business hours, so Saucy and Honey have a fairly easy time avoiding detection.

This is the point where the video starts to fall off. Hiding in Target is hardly exciting. They clearly were a dog that caught the car. They had nothing planned for the video besides hiding and waiting.
I’m not going to heap too much hate on them for that. They just kind of wander around with a vacant look in their eyes.

They do a TikTok dance. Discuss how 3 AM is when ghosts come out. At one point they film themselves filming an Instagram live post. They literally point their camera at the phone screen as they brag to their live viewers that they are hiding in Target.
Riveting content.

Next they just sort of pretend to spend the night sleeping in their fort.
(Surveillance footage shows they left at 3 AM, presumably to avoid ghosts.)
This is okay because it leads to the greatest fake wake up reaction I’ve ever seen.

Is it too late to nominate Saucy for an Oscar?

That’s it. That’s the entire video. They run out into their car and ask which store they should hide in next. I went to request Dick’s Sporting Goods but was turned away at the comments section.

So what’s the authorities take on this incredibly bland and silly video?
Would it shock you to find out they weren’t thrilled about these two hiding in Target overnight?
“When you go to burglary call you have a heightened sense of awareness. Suddenly, you see somebody in there or maybe they get spooked and run, our officers are well-trained, but it’s not a great situation for anybody,” Detective Pezick said. “They weren’t out to harm anybody, but we want to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

Hoo boy! Allow me to translate: He’s saying these two knuckleheads are lucky one of his suburban commandos didn’t arrive when they were there. They probably would have lit them up like Christmas trees. That seems excessive!
For the crime of hiding in Target and almost getting a jumpy cop put on desk duty for like 90 days, Saucy and Honey are facing charges of third degree criminal trespassing and conspiracy.
Probably the worst part? They are officially banned from Target stores in Pennsylvania.
Brutal.
If you have a half hour to kill and want to watch two goofballs giggle at each other and stare vacantly into a camera while hiding in Target I’ve included the video below.
As far as crimes captured on camera it’s pretty boring if I’m being honest.
