Carson Wentz discusses returning to Philadelphia as a divisional rival

Yesterday morning, Carson Wentz was finally introduced as a member of the Washington Commanders. Wentz’s presser went viral due to his Washington-themed suit, which made him look like a well-dressed hot dog.

During the press conference, Wentz was asked about his upcoming return to Philadelphia this season and what it will be like to play the Eagles twice a season.

“I’ll admit it will be weird that first time going to the Linc. I’m sure I’ll hear a little bit of everything. Definitely am aware of that, and I embrace it. I embrace it. It’s exciting, and I’ll try to keep all those things at bay. Hey, it’s just football. Just go play ball, and all the outside noise will take care of itself.”

It’s going to be a tough season for Wentz, who struggled in an offense catered towards his strengths with an MVP-caliber running back. Eagles fans travel well and have taken over FedEx Field for the last several seasons.

After the reports that have leaked recently about his time in Philly, it won’t be a warm welcome for the former Eagles QB when he returns to town.

With how 76ers fans hyped up Ben Simmons’ return to Philadelphia when he wasn’t even playing, Wentz returning to Philadelphia as a division rival could provide one of the most electric Eagles crowds since the Super Bowl run.
