Former Eagles captain signs with the Denver Broncos

After being let go by the Eagles a few days ago, linebacker Alex Singleton has found a new home. According to reports, Singleton has signed a one-year, $1.1 million deal with the Denver Broncos.
The former Eagles captain slots into a stellar Denver defense and looks to be a potential starter next to Bradley Chubb and newly acquired Randy Gregory.
Singleton was projected to be a restricted free agent, but Philadelphia declined to tender him and opted to look elsewhere. The Eagles declined other RFA tenders but still brought them back on new contracts.
After spending three years in the CFL, Singleton joined the Eagles in 2019 and led the team in tackles over the last two seasons. However, he allowed a 111.4 rating in pass coverage last season, likely part of the reason why Philly is moving on.

Singleton has racked up 257 tackles, two INTs (both for TDs), and three fumble recoveries since 2020. As of right now, Davion Taylor looks to be taking over at MLB for Philly, but they could still look for an upgrade during the 2022 NFL Draft.
So far, Singleton is the only significant Eagle to walk this off-season. Anthony Harris just signed a one-year deal to return while Rodney McLeod, Steven Nelson, and several others remain free agents.
