Eagles QB coach Brian Johnson in attendance for Kenny Pickett’s Pro Day
Although Deshaun Watson and Russell Wilson are off the market, the Eagles are still evaluating all of their options at quarterback. Eagles quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson is attending Pittsburgh’s Pro Day today to watch Heisman finalist Kenny Pickett work out.
Pickett is a highly controversial prospect, with so many scared about his age and small hands despite everything else he does well. Philly met with Pickett during the NFL Combine, and he did grow up local to the area as an Eagles fan.
The lack of presence by Philadelphia shows this is just them doing their due diligence, and they aren’t seriously interested. For reference, Atlanta, Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Washington are sending their general manager, offensive coordinator, and quarterback coach to evaluate.

Philadelphia, Tennessee, the New York Giants, and several others are just sending their QB coach. There are several pro days involving top quarterback prospects this week, with Malik Willis tomorrow and Matt Corral on Wednesday.
If the Eagles send a larger group to either of those events, it’ll be something to keep an eye on, but all signs are pointing towards Hurts remaining the starter next season.
