Jordan Mailata makes Ken Jeong cry with beautiful rendition of “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran
Last Wednesday was the latest episode of The Masked Singer, and once again featured was “Thingamabob,” aka Jordan Mailata. If you didn’t know already, The Masked Singer is a reality show where celebrities sing in elaborate costumes, and the judges have to guess who it is.
Almost everyone immediately guessed Thingamabob was Mailata due to the character’s massive stature and identical singing talent of the Eagles’ LT, amongst numerous other clues.
In this week’s episode, Mailata sang “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. It was an absolutely beautiful rendition that was loved by everyone in attendance. His performance was so great that it literally brought Ken Jeong to tears. That’s not even a joke or exaggeration. Jeong choked up when talking to Mailata afterward.

Fellow judge Robin Thicke also declared him as the clear front-runner on the show after just two songs. I have yet to watch another contestant on this show outside Mailata, and I’m still confident that nobody comes close to him.
Regardless, it’s great to see Mailata showcase one of his best talents to a national audience, and hopefully, he can win this season of The Masked Singer.
