76ers restore order to the realm, destroy the Hornets 144-114

The Philadelphia 76ers desperately needed a win today. Sure, you could say that none of these games at the end of the season really matter that much, but at the end of the day, you want to enter the playoffs with some type of chemistry and the Sixers just haven’t had that over the past few weeks. Today, they were able to restore order to the realm with a beautiful victory over the Charlotte Hornets 144-114.
Joel Embiid scored 29 points on 12-of-16 shooting, adding 14 rebounds and six assists.
Tobias Harris scored 23 points, with five rebounds and four assists.
James Harden scored 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting, adding 13 assists and eight rebounds.
Tyrese Maxey scored 19 points with four assists and two steals.
76ers Record-Breaking Game
The 144 points scored today was a season high for the 76ers. They also had 21 three pointers fall which was a season high as well as tying a franchise record. Nine different players for the Sixers hit a three pointer during the game.
The bench finally showed up and got some additional run in the fourth quarter, scoring 49 total points against the Hornets.
The Sixers really opened things up in the third quarter, outscoring the Hornets 45-27 and shooting over 77% from the floor including 7-for-10 shots from beyond the arc. For the entire game, the Sixers shot 60.9% from the floor and 48.8% from three point range.
Huge win for the Philadelphia 76ers, they’ll be back in action tomorrow beginning a three-game road trip in Cleveland against the Cavaliers.
