Cavs’ head coach JB Bickerstaff joins the growing list of NBA coaches complaining about 76ers’ free throws

JB Bickerstaff is a total moron. This is absolutely insane. Joel Embiid destroyed the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight, scoring 44 points on 12-of-26 shooting from the floor. Embiid was 3-for-6 from three point range, and snagged 17 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 blocks on the night.
Yes, Joel “The Foul Merchant” Embiid also went 17-20 from the free throw line. James Harden went 11-12 from the charity stripe, notching a triple-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
If you’re a 76ers basketball fan, you won’t be surprised as to what happened next. Every time the 76ers dominate and Embiid/Harden get to the free throw line, social media erupts saying how it’s “bullshit” that the Sixers duo get to the line so much.
Take a look at the replies on this tweet.
Last week, we heard from Clippers* (thanks Twitter) head coach Ty Lue complaining about the foul calls on Embiid and Harden. Tonight, we now have Cavs head coach J.B. Bickerstaff joining the cry party.

“We deserved to win that game. That game was taken from us. We deserved to win it.”
Yeah well, you didn’t win coach and it should go without saying, you don’t “deserve” anything. You either win basketball games or you don’t. It’s literally that simple.
Your team actually shot pretty well on the night too. The Cavaliers went 35-78 (44.9%) from the floor and 15-33 (45.5%) from beyond the arc. They only shot 23-31 (74.2%) from the free throw line though. That’s a bummer.
The 76ers shot 33-80 (41.3%) from the floor and just 11-31 (35.5%) from three point range. They went 35-42 (83.3%) from the free throw line.
Instead of looking at his own team’s performance and taking into consideration that the Cavaliers were without both Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen, two defense-minded big men, coach Bickerstaff decided to blame the free throws that Embiid and Harden took during the game.
“You can’t defend the free-throw line. That’s absurd.”
Isn’t that adorable? Maybe don’t put Markkanen and Kevin Love on Joel Embiid and actually find someone who can guard him instead of fouling him relentlessly. That seems like a better option. From there, don’t act like a pathetic fool in your post game press conference with the “we deserved to win” and “we can’t defend the free-throw line.”
I thought Doc Rivers was bad but this guy is a total loser.
STOP FOULING JOEL EMBIID AND JAMES HARDEN.
THEY WILL NOT GET TO THE FREE THROW LINE IF THEY ARE NOT FOULED.
What the hell is wrong with you people? It’s literally the easiest concept to grasp. Just don’t foul them. Then you don’t have to worry about the foul shots.
Stop fouling. Stop fouling. Stop fouling. Stop fouling.
I’M LOSING MY MIND.
