Nick Castellanos’ mom bought the perfect housewarming gift to cleanse his new house, previously owned by Ben Simmons

Earlier this morning on 97.5 The Fanatic, Anthony Gargano on announced that Nick Castellanos purchased Ben Simmons’ house in South Jersey.

At that point, I wrote an article talking about Castellanos purchasing the house, how even if the house was filled with bad vibes and mean spirits, that Casty himself has a long track record of hitting home runs while unfortunate events are unfolding during the actual broadcast or headlining the news.
We have seen it on multiple occasions, most recently during Spring Training and went he went yard for the first time in a Phillies uniform while Buck Martinez was reading an apology letter from Blue Jays’ coach Pete Walker who was recently arrested for a DUI.
Spring Training was one of many examples over the past year with Castellanos and unfortunate announcements in the broadcast in which he delivered a hit in return. The first, and most epic, being Thom Brenneman’s apology for saying a homophobic slur on a hot mic.
Anyways, from there I pretty much shrugged off the notion of the house needed to be cleansed of bad spirits. I even joked with Conway about the fact that maybe Castellanos needed some sage to rid the house of any bad demons before moving in.
Apparently, we weren’t the only ones with the idea.
Nick Castellanos’ mom, who has been extremely active on Twitter and in the mix with Phillies fans, had the same idea and actually went out and bought sage to cleanse the Ben Simmons household before the Castellanos family moved in.
You gotta love it. Talk about a family who is already getting in the swing of things here in Philadelphia. It was the perfect joke in response to her son buying Ben Simmons’ house. Hopefully Castellanos will comment on it again while speaking with the media before Opening Day and take another shot at Simmons.
As we all know, nothing gets the people going in Philadelphia like throwing shade at the guy who completely abandoned his team and blamed everyone, including fans, rather than accepting any type of responsibility.
UPDATE: CASTY’S WIFE HAS SAGE TOO
Get rid of the demons. Not like it matters. Nick Castellanos is all business and Philadelphia already loves him after an incredible introductory press conference, and that doesn’t even include what he will bring to the Phillies lineup this season.
