Colin Cowherd thinks Tobias Harris should make the All-NBA Second Team

With the NFL off-season at its slowest point, some prominent football talk show hosts have begun to discuss various NBA topics with the playoffs just around the corner. Colin Cowherd recently revealed his All-NBA teams, and included a member of the 76ers few would’ve expected.
Now before I get into how dumb each of these lists truly are, it is important to mention Colin’s overarching point with these teams. Cowherd, an out-of-touch NBA “fan” is upset with the idea that NBA stars are sitting out games.
His logic stems from a sense of entitlement from these guys, when it reality the NBA holds one of the most grueling schedules in all of sports and load management has become a big part of preventing injuries. Nonetheless, Colin set the rule that to make his All-NBA team all guys must have played at least 85-percent of games for their respective franchises.
Now before you ask, this absolutely tone-deaf, stupid rule Cowherd placed does rule out 76ers star Joel Embiid from making his All-NBA teams.
For context Joel has played 67 of the 80 games for the 76ers, which is only 83-percent.
If Embiid plays the rest of the season, he’ll only reach 84-percent. So in Cowherd’s eyes, the NBA scoring champ Joel Embiid doesn’t deserve any All-NBA nods.
Not that any of this matters, I just figured explaining Colin Cowherd’s stupid rule was warranted.

So with that stupid explanation out of the way, here is one of the ugliest First Team All-NBA squads I’ve seen in a while. No 76ers to be seen, and Trae Young finishing as first-team. Disgusting.
The only guys that actually deserve to be in this spot in my mind are DeRozan and Jokic (depending on how voters treat positions). There is no Ja Morant, Devin Booker, Steph Curry, Luka Doncic here.

Tobias Harris, All-NBA per Cowherd
Oh thank god the true hero of the 76ers made an All-NBA Team! Tobias Harris, who is having his worst statistical season as a member of the Sixers, is an All-NBA player in the eyes of Colin Cowherd.
Harris is down to just 17.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists a game on 48-percent shooting splits. Just because of this stupid 85-percent rule, Colin has put Tobias above guys like Kevin Durant and Pascal Siakam who are statistically better than Harris by a mile in every aspect.
Colin Cowherd’s NBA takes have always been bad, but with this stupid list based off a very old-head rule he’s put himself into a whole different tier. NBA twitter can host some of the worst takes of all time on our great sport, but I never thought one of them would make it onto national airwaves like this one.
