Match Preview: Union vs Crew, plus the 4-team Philly Sports Parlay

The Philadelphia Union have won four straight and are back home in Chester tonight to face the Columbus Crew.
The Union are red hot and enter tonight after beating Charlotte FC last night 2-0. The Union are 4-1-0 on the season and sit atop the MLB Eastern Conference Standings.
The Columbus Crew are trending in the opposite direction. After starting the season with seven goals in their first two games, the Crew are just 1-2-1, sitting in fifth place in the East with a 2-2-1 record.
Offensively, Daniel Gazdag has led the way for the Philadelphia Union. He has scored a goal in each of the Union’s last four games.
To put that into perspective, Gazdag had four goals in 23 games last season. Although his progression was slow at times, this year Gazdag leads the Union in shots per game (2.2) and is tied for third in key passes per game (1.2).
The chemistry between Gazdag and Julian Carranza has been fantastic and I don’t see a reason why these two won’t find even more success against the Crew tonight, backed by the best goalkeeper in the MLS in Andre Blake.
The Philly Special Parlay
These types of parlays never hit but damn, they are fun to bet. The 76ers kick things off in Philly today with a 1PM game against the Pacers at the Wells Fargo Center. From there, we take it across the parking lot to Citizens Bank Park for the Phillies second game of the MLB season against the Oakland Athletics. The Flyers then play at the Wells Fargo Center tonight, with the Union at home in Chester.
The Union on Fox Sports The Gambler
Philadelphia Union pregame and postgame coverage is always available on Fox Sports The Gambler. Make sure to tune in. These guys know soccer and they are the only reason I’m able to throw together a quick post on the Union.
