Jamie Foxx responds to Stephen A. Smith’s criticism of Ben Simmons, Stephen A. Smith claps back

Yesterday, Stephen A. Smith completely destroyed Ben Simmons calling him the weakest, most pathetic excuse for a professional athlete we’ve ever seen in not just American history but the history of sport.

The national media is basically bipolar when it comes to discussing Simmons. One day it’s someone else’s fault, the next it’s Ben Simmons fault. You really never know what you’re going to get.
We have however, reached the point where almost everyone is now clowning on Simmons. Well, everyone besides Jamie Foxx.
In response to Stephen A. Smith’s rant yesterday, Jamie Foxx made a video (which has since been scrubbed from the internet) calling Stephen A’s criticism of Ben Simmons “unfair”.
“That is completely unfair,” Foxx said of Smith’s commentary. “Ben Simmons has a family. This man has people that love him and this man just plays basketball but to be dragged through the mud like this is unfair…And why is it you only go at basketball players … you [are] completely mute when it comes to the Tom Bradys [and] the Aaron Rodgers of the world … You get where I’m going … stop it, bruh, it’s out of bounds.”
There’s a lot to unpack here, obviously. First and foremost, shut the fuck up Jamie Foxx you dork. You know absolutely nothing about basketball or Ben Simmons and what he has done over the past year or else you wouldn’t have even said that.
He has a family? Yeah no shit dude. Of course he has people that loves him. Sure, Ben Simmons just plays basketball but at the same time, Stephen A. Smith specifically said Simmons was the weakest, most pathetic excuse for a professional athlete. He didn’t attack him personally so none of that even matters.
Then you go and whip out the race card and bring Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers into the mix? Nope. This isn’t Hollywood Jamie you idiot. Stop making race about everything.
On First Take this morning, Stephen A. let everyone know that he and Foxx are close friends and proceeded to call him “maybe the greatest talent in the history of Hollywood, with his talent and range” and then destroyed his whole dumb take above.
Smith comments that Foxx has no credibility when it comes to sports because he’s a Cowboys fan.
Hilarious.
Stephen A Smith continued to say that Jamie Foxx is highly protective of black athletes which is weird but I’m white so I don’t really understand where that comes from and will stay out of it.
Stephen A. Smith on Jamie Foxx
What I do know, is that Ben Simmons is a loser and has a long history of quitting on his teammates. That’s a direct criticism of him as an athlete.
Ben Simmons was a loser at LSU and his competitiveness was constantly called into question.
Ben Simmons has not played for the Australian Men’s Basketball team since turning pro.
Ben Simmons refused to play for the 76ers after 2021 playoff collapse.
Ben Simmons refused to play for the Brooklyn Nets after being traded.
That’s really all you need to know about Ben Simmons. This is a first overall draft pick and was deemed The Fresh Prince and king in waiting after Lebron James leaves the NBA. He loved all the attention and was a cocky asshole about it for the last decade.
People are upset and rightfully so. Spare me the self-righteous takes about Simmons. You can only cry wolf so many times before being labeled a loser for the rest of the time you’re in the media spotlight.
Thankfully, that time is now.
