Game 3 Preview: Phillies look to keep the bats hot as Ranger Suarez takes the hill

The Phillies take on the Colorado Rockies tonight at 6:45, looking to win their third game in a row. The offense is starting to heat up, and while the city of Philadelphia mourns two Sixers losses, the Phillies have put everybody on their back over the last two days.
The offense exploded last night for 10 runs. The team recorded 11 hits, one coming from each starter for the first time this season. Odubel Herrera went yard, Harper had two hits in the DH spot, and Didi Gregorius returned back to the lineup, bumping his average up to .316 with two more hits.
Zach Eflin was dealing last night. He threw six total innings, allowing just two hits and one earned run. Nick Nelson, Andrew Bellatti, and Damon Jones all tallied one inning, finishing out the Phillies’ 10-3 win on dollar dog night. Although it was a rainy night, the vibes were high, the bats were going, and John Kruk was living life, per usual.

The team will turn their attention to tonight and will look to continue capitalizing on the poor defense of Colorado. Let’s win some money tonight, shall we?
FOX Bet Odds Boosts
- 15x Your Money: Bryce Harper and Charlie Blackmon 2 Hits Each +1500
- 3x Your Money: Ranger Suarez 6+ K’s and Phillies Win +200
The Phils’ offense is hot. FOX Bet is practically handing us free money with the first bet listed. Bryce Harper is still hitting the ball even with a bad elbow, and I’m convinced Charlie Blackmon bats .1000 in Citizens Bank Park. Suarez hasn’t recorded 6+ K’s once this year, but I wouldn’t hate sprinkling on him either.
Final Pick: Bryce Harper and Charlie Blackmon 2 Hits Each +1500

Tonight’s Pitching Matchup
Phillies: Ranger Suarez will get the ball for the Phillies tonight, making his fourth start of the season. Suarez has thrown 12.1 innings so far this year, with his most recent outing being his best. He went 4 and two-thirds against Milwaukee back on the 22nd, allowing just four hits and one earned run. Suarez has just a 1.00 ERA and 7 strikeouts against the Rockies in his career.
Rockies: Ryan Feltner is set to make just the third major league start of his career tonight. In two starts last season, he threw just 6.1 innings, surrendering an 11.37 ERA. The Rockies called Feltner up just a few days ago, and he’s looking to continue a good 2022 season that he started down in Triple-A.

The Phillies bats were ALIVE last night, and a pitcher with a career ERA of 11 isn’t going to stop that. The bats are going to stay hot, the defense is going to make plays, and Ranger Suarez is going to have a night.
