Flyers sign goaltending prospect Ivan Fedotov to a one-year ELC

The Flyers have signed goaltending prospect Ivan Fedotov to a one-year entry level contract off of his impressive overseas stint. Fletcher has been saying for a while now his long term goal was to eventually bring Fedotov over to compete for a potential back-up position.

Fedotov was the 188th selection in the 2015 NHL Draft and has been steadily progressing overseas. The 6’7” net minder led CSKA Moscow to the League Championship, the Gagarin Cup, by posting a 16-6 record with a 1.85 goals-against average and .937 save percentage.
He also played for Russia in the 2022 Winter olympics. He finished with a 4-2 record with a 1.61 GAA and a .942 SV% with 2 shutouts.
It’s great to see an organization once known for not being to find a goalie, to now having multiple promising goalie prospects over the recent stretch of seasons. I’m looking forward to seeing Fedotov battle for positioning on that prospect ladder soon.
