Patrick Beverley trashes Chris Paul, Ben Simmons, in historic ESPN segment

Patrick Beverley appeared on Get Up with Stephen A. Smith this morning to discuss the Suns’ Game 7 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Beverley tore into Chris Paul during the segment, making it easily one of the best moments on the show in recent memory. Pat Bev held nothing back and even trashed Ben Simmons in the process.
Patrick Beverley on Chris Paul and Ben Simmons
“CP can’t guard nobody man. Everybody in the NBA know that. … He’s a cone. … Give him the Ben Simmons slander.”
Paul struggled against the Mavericks’ defense, recording just ten points and four assists in 31 minutes. Dallas’ guards exploded, with Luka Doncic, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Jalen Brunson combining for 89 of the team’s 123 points.
Beverley isn’t necessarily wrong, but the way he went about it was absolutely hilarious. Never once in my life have I seen an active player just completely trash an opponent on national television.
ESPN needs more of this, have Pat Bev become a recurring segment where he just goes in on Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, and whoever else he’s fought in a game.
