Danny Green attempts to attack Patrick Beverley, proceeds to get immediately dunked on

Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley has been all over ESPN over the past week running his mouth on a bunch of different topics, grabbing headlines for trashing Chris Paul in the Suns’ Game 7 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Beverley tore into Paul for his lack of defense, calling him a “traffic cone” (lol), which of course, caught criticism from several former and current players around the NBA. The most recent player to say something was 76ers’ forward Danny Green on his podcast, Inside the Green Room.
Danny Green on Patrick Beverley
“People target you too, Pat Bev. You ain’t playing no f***ing defense out there. You ain’t stopping Luka. It’s time, and time again I see Luka call your a** “little man” and “he’s too f***ing small” and go right at you every chance he got. When you play Luka, you’re a cone, too. How would you like that?”
This is one of the few occasions in which Green has blown up at someone on his pod, so this must have been personal for him. Unfortunately, Beverley appears to have the receipts to directly shut down Green’s take.
Pat Bev has been called “all talk” on numerous occasions, but these are two damning stats that buried Green this time around. Not to mention, Danny Green should be begging Bev to get his ass to Philly by any means necessary. What happened to the “we were too soft” comments after games five and six against the Heat last round? Cmon Danny. Wake up.
I’m all for the Patrick Beverley media tour. It’s not often that a player talks like this on television and then shows the statistics to prove their claim. Sure, he’s just out there saying whatever comes to mind but you can’t tell me it’s any worse than what ESPN normally runs on their television stations.
