Brenden Aaronson finalizing deal to sign with Leeds in the Premier League

According to reports, Leeds United are finalizing a deal to sign USMNT attacker and South Jersey native Brenden Aaronson to a deal for $29.5 million.
The Philadelphia Union will benefit from this deal as well. The club has a tiered sell-on clause in Aaronson between 10%-20% and will receive $5.3 million courtesy of the sell-on fee.
The Rise of Brendan Aaronson
Aaronson signed with the Philadelphia Union out of the club’s academy in September 2018 and was named to the MLS Best XI following the 2020 season. He was huge part in leading the Union to the Supporters Shield with four goals and seven assists in 23 appearances.
In January 2021, Aaronson signed with RB Salzburg, helping the club win two domestic league and cup doubles. Aaronson scored 13 goals in 66 league and cup appearances.
Aaronson then broke through on the international level, scoring five goals in 18 appearances while helping the USMNT qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this fall.

As for the Philadelphia Union, they took down the Portland Timbers last night 2-0 to improve to 6-6-1 on the season, remaining in first place in the Eastern Conference MLS Standings.
