Series Preview: Ranger Suarez and the Phillies look to keep things rolling in Milwaukee

Fresh off a sweep of the Los Angeles Angels, the Phillies will travel to Milwaukee to take on the NL Central-leading Brewers in a three-game series. Ranger Suarez gets the ball for the Phils, going up against Jason Alexander for Milwaukee.
The Phillies have won four straight games and scored 32 runs during that span with a total win margin of +18. They’re coming off a heroic win on Sunday, where the Vegas Boys hit two clutch home runs to break out the brooms against the Angels. Since the firing of Joe Girardi, the Phillies are 3-0 with life back in the clubhouse, and it seems like the morale of the team is through the roof.
The Brewers are a good baseball team and will finish out a tough stretch for the Phillies. If there’s any time to go on a run, it started with the Angels series. After the short road trip to Milwaukee, things get much easier for the Phillies.

The Phillies Offense is HOT
Coming off a weekend sweep of the Angels, the Phillies offense is looking to continue their dominance at the plate. The team hit a combined .260/.375/.550 against Los Angeles, with a team OPS of .925.
Bryce Harper might be the hottest hitter in baseball. Harper is batting .357/.526/1.143 since Joe Girardi’s departure, with 3 HRs, 8 RBIs, 5 hits, 2 doubles, and an OPS of 1.669. A spark in the clubhouse was needed, and it seems that Harper used Girardi’s firing not just for the team, but for himself as well.
JT Realmuto and Kyle Schwarber are starting to find consistency as well. Realmuto is hitting .300/.364/.500 over his last five games, while Schwarber is slashing .278/.458/.883, with a 1.292 OPS, 3 HRs, and 4 RBIs.
Milwaukee Brewers
The Phillies caught a good time in the season to play the Brewers, during an offensive slump and catching the backend of the starting rotation.
The Brewers are being led by Rowdy Tellez at the plate who leads the team in average (.249), home runs (10), and RBIs (36). Milwaukee doesn’t have a qualified player over .275 on the year, but their pitching is keeping them afloat. Eric Lauer and Corbin Burnes are leading the way, both with sub 2.5 ERAs. Burnes is down to just a 0.92 WHIP on the season, with 84 strikeouts in 11 starts.
