MLB, New Era, partner with Off-White to release “Off-White Meteor Holes” Merchandise Collection

Major League Baseball and New Era are up to their old tricks again, releasing more horribly designed, over-priced, merchandise that makes zero sense.
We have seen this countless numbers of times, with ridiculous looking hats that still, I find hard to believe anyone would actually purchase and wear in public. I simply can’t wrap my head around the fact that New Era continues to have these MLB merchandise drops and people are actually interested. Is it possible that they do it simply for the engagement on social media, ignoring that it’s all criticism? Maybe.

That brings us to the latest drop, with the MLB and New ERA in collaboration with Off-White, featuring Off-White’s meteor holes.
Price Breakdown for the Off-White Meteor Holes Collection
- Hats: $260
- T-Shirts: $355
- Hoodies: $630
- Jerseys: $1,030

I mean what in the actual fuck are we looking at here, New Era? This has to be the dumbest merchandising decision I have ever seen in my entire life. After witnessing this garbage, I had to do some research on Off-White and find out who these weirdos are and why they are even releasing this type of shit to MLB fans.
Following a three-way collab with BTS, MLB and New Era join forces once again for an exclusive collection with Off-White™. The collaboration celebrates six of the MLB’s member clubs — Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, and Chicago Cubs — with a limited-edition range of hoodies and tees as well as MLB baseball shirts and classic New Era 59FIFTY caps arriving with Off-White™ “meteor” holes.
The only good news here is that these try-hards didn’t release these atrocities for the Philadelphia Phillies. Not like anyone would buy this shit in the first place, but it looks like we have been spared of the embarrassment.
I will give some credit for whoever works at Off-White. Somehow they have been able to sell Major League Baseball on the idea of ripped up jerseys and hats for ridiculous prices. For anyone who is actually interested in purchasing something like this, I have a better idea.
Go to DHGate, buy a knock-off MLB jersey, then stop over to my house and let my dog Riggs run around with it in the backyard and chew some holes in it for you. You’ll have the same exact product for the total price of $25.
Up Next for the Philadelphia Phillies
The Philadelphia Phillies took 2-of-3 games from the Miami Marlins thanks to a walk-off three-run home run from Garrett Stubbs yesterday. Tonight, they will open up a five game weekend series against the Washington Nationals.
