Top 5 Draft Targets for the Philadelphia 76ers at Pick No. 23

The NBA Draft is finally here and the Philadelphia 76ers have been brought up in a million different rumors regarding what they will do with the No. 23 pick tonight.
It’s been reported across a few different media outlets that the 76ers are looking to make a three-team trade that could involve Matisse Thybulle and the No. 23 pick to create space. The 76ers are also looking at options for Tobias Harris but continue to have trouble finding a team willing to take on the two-year, $76.9 million remaining on his contract.
Top 5 Draft Options for the Philadelphia 76ers
Tari Eason (LSU)
- HT: 6-8
- WT: 217
- WING: 7-2
- POSITION: SMALL FORWARD
Tari Eason had a disappointing freshman year at Cincinnati, averaging just 7.3 points and 5.9 rebounds in 18 minutes per game before entering the transfer portal and landing at LSU for a breakout sophomore campaign.
Last year, Eason emerged as one of the best defenders in college basketball. His 6’8” frame and 7’2” wingspan allows him to guard one through four.
Eason has great size, length, and athleticism, and is an extremely versatile combo forward that can impact both ends of the floor. On offense, Eason plays on his strengths, has great court vision, and is excellent at moving the ball and attacking the basketball.
Eason definitely needs to work on his three-point shooting and mid-range game but the potential for him to succeed at the NBA level is definitely there and if available at No. 23 for the 76ers, is my favorite option.
TyTy Washington (Kentucky)
- HT: 6-3
- WT: 185
- POSITION: POINT GUARD
You can never go wrong looking at a guard from Kentucky. TyTy Washington is a lightning-fast point guard that can create separation and find an open shot from anywhere on the court.
Washington averaged 12.5 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the floor and 35 percent from three-point range during his only year at Kentucky last season.
Jaden Hardy – G League Ignite
- HT: 6-5
- WT: 185
- WING: 6-10
- POSITION: SHOOTING GUARD
Jaden Hardy was once considered to be a high lottery pick heading into this year’s NBA Draft but failed to remain consistent in his G League debut.
Hardy is a high-level shot maker, excelling at creating separation and shooting along the perimeter, but can also beat a defender off the dribble and find a mid-range shot or attack the lane.
Still, consistency is an issue. He hit just 27% from 3 during his time in the G League and just 35% from the floor. The potential is there and there are a ton of websites that consider him to have the potential of a late first-round steal, so he could surprise a lot of people at the NBA level.
Jalen Williams – Santa Clara
- HT: 6-5
- WT: 209
- WING: 7-2
- POSITION: SHOOTING GUARD
I’m always cautious about drafting anyone outside of a Power 5 conference but Williams has a terrific frame and has been soaring up every draft board over the past few weeks.

Williams is an efficient scorer and has great handles, which makes his open-court game very intriguing. He has excellent court vision, special passing ability, and constantly keeps the ball moving, which I love on a 76ers team that tends to stand around lifeless at times.
Blake Wesley – Notre Dame
- HT: 6-5
- WT: 185
- POSITION: SHOOTING GUARD
Blake Wesley is an agile, quick point guard from Notre Dame with an incredible ability to get to the basket and find an open shot in the mid-range.
