Preview: Phillies square off against the Braves at 7:05, Darick Hall set to make MLB debut
Coming off a loss on Tuesday night, the Phillies take on the Braves tonight in the second game of a three-game series at 7:05 EST. Ranger Suarez (6-4, 4.23 ERA) gets the ball for the Phils, going up against Kyle Wright (8-4, 3.18 ERA).
The Phillies dropped a tough one last night, as they left 10 runners in scoring position, a problem that has haunted them over the last few months. This offense can not hit people if their lives depended on it, and it’s starting to cost the team games. Two of Tuesday night’s biggest chances to score runs fell on the shoulders of Nick Castellanos, and he failed to capitalize in both situations.
Last night’s loss dropped the Phillies four games back of the Braves and eight games back of the Mets for 1st in the NL East. The Phils did call up Darick Hall earlier today, their power-hitting lefty from AAA. He’ll DH for the team and hit cleanup, which moves Nick Castellanos back to RF.

Ranger Suarez vs Kyle Wright
Ranger Suarez has struggled badly at Citizens Bank Park this season. He holds a 1-3 record with a 5.10 ERA and just 23 strikeouts in seven starts. He is however coming off a great outing in San Diego, where he went seven and a third strong, allowing just two earned runs. He’ll be going up against Kyle Wright, who is 2-2 with a 3.10 ERA on the road this season. Wright’s last outing was a rough one, allowing 10 hits and 4 earned runs in just 5.1 IP.

Phillies Starting Lineup
Lineup Notes: Darick Hall makes his major league debut tonight, filling the DH vacancy. Didi plays short, Stott plays second, and Moniak is in center. Casty is back in right.
I think the Phillies win tonight because the Phillies need a win tonight. They can’t afford a series loss, especially to the Braves. 8-5 Final tonight, Castellanos goes yard.
