76ers Free Agency: Tucker, House confirmed along with G League MVP Queen, Harden to meet with 76ers this weekend

Free agency started quick for the Philadelphia 76ers, with both PJ Tucker and Danuel House Jr getting announced to Philly within the first 11 minutes of action.
With Tucker and House confirmed, that immediately checked two names off of the official Liberty Line free agent list.

The Kevin Durant Wrench
After being so sure about what would happen with the Sixers during free agency, Kevin Durant decided to steal the spotlight by announcing that he wanted to be traded out of Brooklyn. Obviously, that threw a wrench in everything, as teams across the NBA halted all plans and focused on getting in touch with Brooklyn to see what it would take to land Durant and/or Kyrie Irving.
Still, no other names on the list have been signed by any other team in the NBA, leaving the door open for the 76ers to still make the moves we believe they will make, bolstering the bench around the core four in Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, James Harden, and Tobias Harris.
Could a Kevin Durant trade drive our quest for glory completely off the rails? Of course. But until then, we’re still on free agency watch.
PJ Tucker – 3 Years // $33.2 Million
PJ Tucker was first off the board with a three year, $33.2 million fully guaranteed deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
It will be PJ Tucker’s second time teaming up with James Harden and Daryl Morey. He was a member of the 2017-2018 Rockets team that took the Golden State Warriors to Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, then went to Milwaukee and won a title with the Bucks in 2021. From there, Tucker landed in Miami and was a huge part in the Heat beating the 76ers in round two this past season.
Danuel House Jr – 2 Years // $8.5 Million
Much like PJ Tucker, Danuel House Jr will also join Harden and Morey in Philadelphia on a two year, $8.5 million contract.
Thanks to James Harden declining his player option, the Sixers now had the ability to offer Tucker the non-taxpayer mid-level exception and House the bi-annual exception.
House shot 41.5% from three point range over 25 regular season games as a member of the Utah Jazz last season. He’s a high-energy wing defender and a fantastic role player.
Most notably for me, is the fact that House got kicked out of the bubble for bringing one of the female COVID testers back to his hotel room. He’s a dawg and an absolute legend. Period.
Trevelin Queen – 2 Years // $300,000 Partially Guaranteed
Reigning G League MVP Trevelin Queen agreed on a two year, $300,000 partially guaranteed contract with the Sixers after the Houston Rockets declined to issue him a qualifying offer.
In the G League, Queen averaged 25.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.2 steals. The 76ers have now two G League MVP’s in Paul Reed and Queen.
James Harden to meet with 76ers over the weekend
Like I said above, you have to think that the Philadelphia 76ers might take a break from signing the rest of the free agents we had listed until they figure out the details of James Harden’s new contract. Woj reported earlier that the 76ers are set to meet with Harden this weekend to get things worked out.
All players on the TLL List are still free agents
Again, all players listed above on the TLL List are still free agents, so don’t count us out quite yet. The KD Wrench is concerning but unless a miracle happens and he somehow finds a way to come to Philadelphia, I’m still confident the rest of the list will land in Philly in the coming days.
Stay the course. Trust the vision.
