Philadelphia 76ers officially announce summer league roster

NBA Free Agency kicked off yesterday at 6PM and the Philadelphia 76ers were busy early, before going quiet. PJ Tucker, Danuel House Jr. and reigning G League MVP Trevelin Queen were all signed by the Sixers.
The team will meet with James Harden this weekend to figure out his new contract, and there are still rumors flying around regarding Matisse Thybulle trade packages. On top of that, you have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving both looking to get out of Brooklyn. The NBA truly is a movie.
In case you missed it, TLL released a list of initially four players that the 76ers were going to sign in free agency. Two already happened with PJ Tucker and Danuel House Jr being announced yesterday. The next two on the board would be Damion Lee and Otto Porter Jr.

As I’m writing this, Otto Porter Jr. is heading to Toronto on a two year deal with a second year player option. Andre Drummond to the Core 4 List yesterday afternoon, expecting him to rejoin the 76ers with good evidence to support that claim. Last night, Drumbo got more than the expected veteran minimum and ended up signing with the Chicago Bulls on a two-year, $3.3 million contract, eliminating him from our board.
Both Otto Porter Jr. and Drummond signed for more than the veteran minimums, on two-year contracts with second-year player options.
That was not what the Philadelphia 76ers were expecting.
I think it’s safe to say that neither will be announced until a trade happens and James Harden settles on the amount for a new contract with the team this weekend. We’ll be back with plenty of more information on the items above as news breaks, but for now, let’s take a look at the Philadelphia 76ers Summer League Roster.
