Eagles star wide receiver AJ Brown just responded to Miles Sanders’ statement that the Eagles have an “All Star Team.”

Miles Sanders continues to take heat for having the audacity to show excitement for his Eagles teammates this year. You’d think maybe his new star wide receiver would be coming to his defense.

Nope. Instead AJ Brown issued a cautiously worded tweet in response to the official account of the NFL quoting Miles Sanders. “He’s excited about what this team could be. We all are. But we’re not An All-Star team. We definitely could be with years to come. We have strap up our pads and prove it every year and that’s what we plan to do! #1Weekatatime”

Cowards across the Delaware Valley were quick to applaud AJ Brown for walking back Sanders’ bravado.

Nobody can argue that the sentiment of AJ Brown’s tweet is noble. It is true that Sanders was excited and his words have been twisted to make him sound delusional. However, what’s wrong with being delusionally confident?

If anything this feels like AJ Brown being overly cautious. Maybe put down the hard hat and put on your party hat AJ! The Eagles have a division to win, and they have the opportunity to do it with a smile.

What kind of message does it send to the rest of the guys in the locker room that AJ Brown doesn’t think they’re “All Star” material. That has to sting.
