Preview: Phillies look to clinch series win vs the Cardinals with Kyle Gibson on the mound

Coming off arguably the best win of the season on Friday night, the Phillies are back in action today at 4:05 vs the St. Louis Cardinals. Kyle Gibson (4-3, 4.48 ERA) gets the ball for the Phils, going up against Matthew Liberatore (2-1, 4.00 ERA).
After falling down 3-0 through the first three innings, it seemed like the Cardinals were going to continue to crush Bailey Falter and cruise to an easy win. The Phillies had other things to say about that, and put up 5 unanswered runs through the 5th-7th inning, powering themselves to a 5-3 win.
The longball led the Phils to victory last night, as Darick Hall hit his third in 6 at-bats, and Hoskins crushed another, giving him 16 on the year. Mickey Moniak got his first XBH of the season as well, setting up a potential hot streak for the centerfielder. The team looks to win their third game in a row today, and keep the momentum going vs a good St. Louis team.
