Joey Chestnut, dominates Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating contest on one leg and tackles Darth Vader Animal Rights protestor in the process

Joey Chestnut, an American Hero, won the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest again this year and proved that he could multi-task in the process by tackling protester in the middle of the tournament, all on one leg.
Chestnut managed to inhale 63 hot dogs, 20 more than his closest competitor to win his 14th out of the last 15 Nathan’s contests. He was competing injured in the event, with a reputed tendon.
That didn’t slow down Chestnut at all. In fact, not only did he have a Jordan Flu Game competing with an injured foot, he also took down a protestor dressed like Darth Vader mid-match.
Joey Chestnut Takes Down Darth Vader
The fact that Chestnut won the competition by 20 dogs while competing on one foot and having to deal with Darth Vader is pretty insane. If the other contestants were smart they would have kept eating instead of watching the events unfold but clearly that didn’t happen because no one else was even close to winning.
We have seen this sleeper cell of animal rights protestors pop up at NBA games, but to do this at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4th is ridiculous, and thankfully for Chestnut, he wasn’t having his annual time to shine overtaken by some dumb Star Wars nerd protestor.
That protestor was mad about Smithfield Foods, one of the biggest pork producers on the planet.
Look, I’m always down to protest things if I agree with the cause but these animal rights groups are just annoying. If you want want to eat meat, then don’t. I really can’t say it any other way. I certainly could care less if you want to just eat vegetables and you never see “pro-meat” groups protesting against you?
This Darth Vader kid is obviously a nerd and has nothing else better to do on 4th of July Weekend than to run up on stage while Joey Chestnut is in the midst of a hot dog eating masterclass.
Chestnut wasn’t having it. America has been saved yet again and for that Mr. Chestnut, we thank you.
